Inside Olive & Thai: ochre ceiling, brass pendant lights, tan banquettes and an orchid mural.

The olive doesn't fall far from the tree.

We opened in spring 2023 as the sister venue to Olive & Rye, our café — hence the name, and hence the tagline we borrowed from it. Situated in the Grade II Listed Victorian Queens Arcade linking Briggate to Lands Lane, and just a short walk from the Victoria Quarter, Olive & Thai is the perfect place to meet family, friends or colleagues in a casual and relaxed dining atmosphere.

Whatever the occasion — coffee and cake whilst shopping, a great-value lunch, or drinks and dinner with family and friends — Olive & Thai has something for all.

Chef Non, and what comes off his pass.

Food plays a massive part in Thai culture and is considered a social occasion in itself. Our award-winning head chef Non Kratklang, owner Anna and the team have a passion for delicious food, and bring together classic Thai signature dishes and special dishes of the day — including vegan and gluten-free options — all carefully crafted to capture the essence of Thai cuisine.

Our dishes are cooked using high-quality ingredients. Herbs and spices from Thailand are combined with the freshest local meat, fish, seafood and vegetables, and are especially prepared to share and guaranteed to satisfy all appetites.

That regional streak matters to us. Khao Soi belongs to Chiang Mai in the north; Khua Kling is the most famous dish of the south. Both sit on the menu alongside the Panang and the royal Massaman.
